Manage custom object types

Learn how to manage custom object types in Snow License Manager.

View object types

  1. On the Objects menu, select Object types.

  2. In Custom object types you can see all of the manually created object types.

Add object types

  1. On the Objects menu, select Object types.

  2. In Custom object types, on the context menu, select Add object type.

  3. In Add custom object type, do the following:

    1. On the Information tab:

      1. Enter a Name and a Description of the object type.

      2. To make it possible to attach objects of this type to agreements, select This object type can be attached to agreements.

    2. On the Properties tab, define the properties (fields) that should be available when registering an object of this type. Do the following:

      1. Select Add property.

      2. In the dialog box:

        1. Select the property Type: Text, Date, Yes|No, Digit, or Currency.

        2. Enter a Name and a Description of the property.

        3. Optional: To make this property mandatory for all objects of this type, select Mandatory.

        4. Optional: If Mandatory is selected in the previous step, you can also enter a Default value for the property.

        5. Select Save.

      3. Repeat for all properties needed.

    3. Select Save.

Edit object types

  1. On the Objects menu, select Object types.

  2. In the Custom object types view, select the object type that you want to edit.

  3. In the details view of the object type, do the following:

    1. On the Information tab, add or edit the applicable information.

    2. On the Properties tab, do one or more of the following:

      1. To add a new property, select Add property.

      2. To edit a property, select the Edit icon on the row of that property, make the changes, and then select Save.

      3. To delete a property, select the Delete icon on the row of that property, and then select OK to confirm.

  4. Select Save.

Delete object types

caution

If you delete an object type, all objects belonging to that specific object type will also be deleted.

  1. On the Objects menu, select Object types.

  2. In the Custom object types view, select the object type that you want to delete.

  3. In the details view of the object type, select Delete.

  4. Select OK to confirm.
