Manage custom objects
Learn how to manage custom objects in Snow License Manager.
Search for objects

On the Objects menu, select Search for objects.

To filter your search, under Apply filters, select an Organization.

Optional: To use more search criteria, do the following:

Select a search criterion from the list.

Select an operator, and then enter a search string.

To remove a search criterion, select Remove (X) next to the criterion.

Select Search.
Add objects
The Agreements tab is only available if you have allowed objects of the selected object type to be attached to agreements. For more information, see Manage custom object types.

On the Objects menu, select Add object.

In Add custom object, do the following:

On the Properties tab:

Select an Object type.
-
Type the Name of the object.

To attach the object to a specific organization node, select the node in Organization.

In Property values, type the values for the object properties. Available properties depend on the selected object type.

Optional: To link the object to a computer, in Linked computer, select Select computer to search for the computer.

Optional: To link the object to a user, in Linked user, select Select user to search for the user.

Optional: When adding multiple objects, you can speed up the registration process by selecting After object has been saved, open new form for same object type. This means that, when you save a new object, the system will automatically open a new Add custom object view with the same object type selected.

Optional: On the Agreements tab, use the checkboxes to select an agreement for this object.

Select Save.
Edit objects

On the Objects menu, select Search for objects.

Find and select the object that you want to edit. For more information, see Search for objects.

In the details view of the object, select Edit object.

In the Edit custom object view, add or edit the applicable information. For more information, see Add objects.

Select Save.
Delete objects
You can delete single or multiple objects at the same time.

On the Objects menu, select Search for objects.

Find and select the object or objects that you want to delete. For more information, see Search for objects.

On the context menu, select Delete.

Select OK to confirm.
You can also delete an object by selecting Delete in the edit view of the object.
